Ask yourself that question what is your ambition. Do you wish for beautiful wife or gorgeous husband, where he got popularity that everyone looks up to so that you can show off with him or her. Do you desire lots of mansion or lots of money? or do you anticipate to reach a firm life long carrier? Do you yearn for luxurios dwelling a land or probably your want to buy an island on your own? Do you long for fame, popularity or fortune? What do you yearn for, what do you desire? Do you mishaving all of that? If this is what of your desire or anticipating for and yearning for, then my dear brother and sister. Your have been deceived, you have been deceived by this world, all of its fortune, all of its beauty, because the beauty that you see in front of you as Allah describe in the quran its like a flower that grows on the ground, its get water from the rain and then its blossoms, its has nice fragrance and its looks beautiful, but then it only last for a month or less and suddenly its start to wither away and you have no more attention toward it. As it is has never existed before and become soil and dirt
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion. (Al-Hadid 57:20)
This life is life of challange, challenging each other, who can get a best house, who can get a faster car, who has more money, who can look the most beautiful. Did'nt the kufr do that? trying to rise in a high level position in the work and try to beats everyone else and becoming and reaching the higher seats. People love to have lots of money and children, want to have a strong back. This world is like flower that I describe before, it blossom a little bit and fade away my friend. If this is what you yearning for, longing for, missing and being anxious about, I'm sad to say that my friend that you are in very great loss. Because when you die, you just gonna leave a roh behind you. All of that we will leave behind us. The only thing is that you will taking is two things, your family and your action to the graveyard. But your family will go back and you action will stay with you. And then, it will be an ugly being if you action was bad, to keep you in a bad company until day of judgement. Or it will be a handsome person that seat with you and keep you company until day of judgement.
And the forerunners, the forerunners. Those are the ones brought near (to Allah). In the Gardens of Pleasure. A (large) company of the former peoples. And a few of the later peoples. (Al-Waqiah 56:10-14)
There still a minority that striving and working and desiring the paradise and left this world. Only a small amount Allah said. Allah prasing those whose raise each other, raise each other in term of goodness, not raising each other for wealthy things. Is it those who can beat other people in good deed are those who beat each other to paradise? No, a normal muslim does not want first place in paradise but a mukmin wants to beat everyone and goes to firdaus an-a'la. Because this is a high quality of believer, the believer that praising each other in doing a good deed. That why when we read about the companion of the prophet, we find that Allah swt give us an example about how they live, and what they yearn for, and anticipating and desire. They (companion) are the one that closest one to Allah in high place in paradise.
